EQUIPMENT
- Blender
- Electric Milk Frother (If you don’t have one, you can heat the milk in a pan on the stove top)
INGREDIENTS
- 1-2 shots espresso
- 1 tsp condensed milk
- 1 tsp pistachio paste
- 200 ml milk adjust the amount of milk depending on your cup size
- handful pistachios
- 1 tsp pistachio paste to decorate
INSTRUCTIONS
- Select your favourite cup.
- Using the back of a spoon, smear pistachio paste on the inside of the cup.
- Gently coat the top of the cup with the pistachio paste.
- Deshell the pistachios, then blend. If you don’t have a blender, just use a rolling pin over the pistachios in cling film. They should look like fine crumbs.
- Put the blended pistachios on foil on a flat surface and turn the cup upside down and press into the crumbs to get a lovely thick coating on the rim of the cup.
- Make a shot of espresso – we recommend Boilers Copper Coffee.
- Add 1 teaspoon of condensed milk and 1 teaspoon of pistachio paste to your cup and stir well.
- Heat the milk in a sauce pan or electric milk frother.
- Add the espresso shot to the cup and stir well with the paste until it is well combined.
- Add the heated milk to the cup. Sprinkle over any excess pistachio crumbs for decoration.
